Privacy policy
How Rerasure Technologies Private Limited ("Rerasure", "we") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data, written under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Last updated 18 September 2026. Applies to www.rerasure.com and, when they launch, the Rerasure mobile applications and partner portals (together, the "Platform").
1. Who we are
Rerasure Technologies Private Limited (CIN U62099DL2026PTC465081), registered office at H. No. 150 (Stilt), Sreshtha Vihar, New Delhi, East Delhi, Delhi 110092, is the data fiduciary for personal data processed on the Platform. Our grievance officer's details are on the grievance page.
2. What we collect
When you visit this website: nothing that identifies you. We do not run advertising trackers. Server logs record IP address, browser type and pages requested for security, and are deleted within 90 days.
When you contact us: your name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message.
When the Platform launches and you create an account: your mobile number (verified by one-time password), name and e-mail; your saved searches and the homes you view or list; visit bookings and check-in records; messages sent through the Platform.
When you enter a transaction: identity and address documents required by law for escrow, agreement and registration (such as PAN and, where the sub-registrar or bank requires it, Aadhaar or other identity proof); bank account details for payments and refunds; property documents you upload for verification; the transaction record itself, including e-signed terms, escrow instructions, receipts, custody records and ratings.
From partners: advocates, relationship managers, field partners, brokers and builders provide professional credentials, registrations (such as Bar Council or RERA numbers), bank details and tax identifiers.
Location: only during a booked site visit, to record check-in at the property, and only with the device permission you grant.
3. Why we use it
We process personal data to: verify identity and prevent fraud; list, verify and show properties; arrange and record visits; operate escrow, payments, refunds and payouts through our banking partners; prepare and record agreements and registration; provide relationship-management and document custody; resolve disputes and complaints; send transactional messages about your account and deals; comply with law, including tax deduction and reporting, RERA obligations and lawful requests from authorities; and improve the Platform using aggregated, de-identified data.
4. Consent and notice
Where the law requires consent, we ask for it at the point of collection with a notice that says what we collect and why, in English and Hindi. You may withdraw consent at any time from account settings or by writing to the grievance officer; withdrawal does not affect processing already done, and some services (such as an escrow already in progress) cannot continue without the data they need. Some processing is carried out without consent where the law permits it — for example, to perform a contract you asked for, to comply with a legal obligation, or for a legitimate use recognised by the Act.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only as needed to deliver the service you asked for, with: empanelled advocates, for listing verification and legal documentation; the escrow bank and payment providers, for holding and moving money; relationship managers and field partners assigned to your deal or visit; the counterparty in a transaction, to the extent the transaction requires (identities are masked until a deal is registered); telecom and messaging providers, to deliver OTPs and notifications; cloud hosting and security providers who process data on our instructions under contract; sub-registrar offices, lenders, tax authorities and other bodies where the transaction or the law requires; and courts, regulators or law-enforcement agencies on lawful request. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your phone number with brokers, builders or advertisers as a lead.
Data is stored in India. If any processor stores data outside India, it is only in a country not restricted by the Central Government under the Act, and under contract.
6. SMS, calls and notifications
Account and transaction messages (OTPs, escrow and deal alerts, visit confirmations) are sent under our registered sender IDs on the TRAI DLT platform and do not need separate consent; they are part of the service. Promotional or search-alert messages are sent only if you opt in, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP or from settings. Calls from relationship managers and field partners are about your own visit or deal only.
7. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active and for three years after closure, unless a longer period is required. Transaction records, including escrow instructions, agreements and custody receipts, are kept for eight years after the deal closes, as required by company, tax and limitation law. Verification reports are kept with the listing they concern. Enquiry e-mails are deleted after two years. When a retention period ends, data is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been processed; to correct or update it; to have it erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose or required by law; to withdraw consent; to nominate a person who can exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated; and to have a grievance heard. Write to the grievance officer; we acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 15 days. If you are not satisfied you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
Property and identity documents are stored in an encrypted vault with access logged per person and per document. Escrow instructions need two approvals and are recorded on an append-only audit log. Staff access is on a need-to-know basis and revoked on the same day a role ends. In the event of a personal data breach we will notify the Board and affected users as the Act requires.
10. Children
The Platform is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18; where a minor has an interest in a property, the data is handled through their lawful guardian and the court process the transaction requires.
11. Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own. When the Platform launches, we will use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and security, and privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics with no cross-site tracking. Any change will be reflected here and in the notice inside the app.
12. Changes and contact
We will post changes to this policy here with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify account holders in the app. Questions and requests: support@rerasure.com, or write to the grievance officer at the registered office above.
